Colossians 1

  • May we be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that we may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to You who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

  • Thank You for delivering us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom we have redemption through Your blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

  • For by You all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You and for You. And You are before all things, and in You all things consist.

  • And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in You all the fullness should dwell, and by You to reconcile all things to Himself, by You, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of Your cross.

  • And we, who once were alienated and enemies in our minds by wicked works, yet now You have reconciled in the body of Your flesh through death, to present us holy, and blameless, and above reproach in Your sight.

  • Help us to continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not be moved away from the hope of the gospel.

  • May we be presented perfect in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 2

  • May we be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

  • May we have good order and steadfastness of our faith in Christ.

  • May we walk in Christ, rooted and built up in You and established in the faith, as we have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

  • May we not be cheated through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

  • For in You dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and we are complete in You, who is the head of all principality and power.

  • In You we were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with You in baptism, in which we also were raised with You through faith in the working of God, who raised You from the dead.

  • Thank You for making us alive together with You, having forgiven us all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And You have taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, You made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Thank You.

  • Let no one cheat us of our reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels.

  • May we not be vainly puffed up by fleshly mind.

  • May we hold fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.

Colossians 3

  • Help us to seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

  • Set our minds on things above, not on things on the earth. For we died, and our life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then we also will appear with Him in glory.

  • Let our members which are on the earth be put to death: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

  • May we put off: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of our mouth.

  • Help us not to lie to one another, since we have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

  • Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, may we put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave us, may we also do.

  • May we put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

  • And may the peace of God rule in our hearts, to which also we were called in one body; and help us to be thankful.

  • Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord. And whatever we do in word or deed, may we do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to You, God our Father.

  • May we obey in all things our masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.

  • And all we do, may we do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord we will receive the reward of the inheritance; for we serve You, the Lord Christ.

Colossians 4

  • Help us to devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful

  • May You open to us a door for the word, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ

  • May we declare it clearly, as we should

  • May we act wisely toward outsiders, redeeming the time

  • Let our speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to answer everyone
