Receive Holy Spirit Guidance

  • Let Your Holy Spirit help us to pray because Your Word says that we do not know how to pray as we ought but that the Holy Spirit helps in our weaknesses and makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26)

  • Let the Holy Spirit make intercession through and for us according to the will of God (Romans 8:27)

  • Let the Holy Spirit guide us into all the truth and declare to us the things that are to come (John 16:13)

  • Let the Holy Spirit baptize us fully as with the apostles, let tongues of Holy Spirit fire rest upon each of us and let us receive Your Holy Spirit power so that we are led by the Holy Spirit in everything pertaining to this life (Acts 1:5-8 & Acts 2:1-4)

Prayer for Forgiveness

We, our families and our ancestors have sinned and fallen short of Your Glory.

Help us to confess and forsake our sins, the sins of our families, the sins of our ancestors and the sins of all connected to us by blood, marriage or adoption.

Bring them all to our remembrance so we may obtain Your mercy.

For You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

As we confess and repent for every sin below, or any other sin known and unknown, on behalf of ourselves, our ancestors and our bloodlines, we simultaneously renounce and denounce all evil acts we thought, committed or spoke against You via this sin, and break every covenant we knowingly or unknowingly came into with the kingdom of darkness via these sins.

Let us find grace in Your sight, O Lord, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance (Exodus 34:9).

Exodus 20:

  • Having other gods before You and misusing Your Name

  • Murder, adultery, theft, false testimony, covetousness

Leviticus 18-20:

  • Abortions, child sacrifices and any blood sacrifices

  • Fornication, homosexuality, incest, bestiality and all sexual relations that are abominable to You

  • Leaving nothing for the poor to eat, taking advantage of the poor, deaf, blind and underprivileged

  • Defrauding neighbors or employees, showing favoritism and partiality and endangering anyone's life

  • Sharing in our neighbors' guilt, bearing grudges and mistreating foreigners

  • Practicing divinations and seeking omens, mediums or spiritists

  • Cuttings, markings, rituals or traditions honoring the dead

Deuteronomy 14-16, 22 & 27:

  • Not giving, offering and tithing wherever we should have

  • Not lending or giving the poor sufficient for what they need

  • Not giving cheerfully and not opening our hands wide to our brothers

  • Perverting justice and taking advantage of the less fortunate

  • Withholding justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow

  • Moving our neighbor's boundary stones

  • Crossing genders in any way You detest

  • Any guilt of bloodshed on our houses

  • Not purging the evil from among us

Proverbs 6, 17, 20, 21:

  • Justifying the wicked and condemning the righteous

  • Crooked, arrogant, and haughty hearts

  • Unequal weights, unequal measures and false balances

  • Shedding innocent blood or accepting bribes to shed innocent blood

  • Proud looks, lying tongues, hearts that have devised wicked imaginations, feet that have been swift in running to mischief, false witness and wherever we've sown discord among brethren

Isaiah 1 / Jeremiah 2:

  • Rebelling against You, forsaking You and being corrupt

  • Observing worthless assemblies and festivals and bringing vain offerings

  • Defiling Your land and making Your inheritance detestable

Romans 1 & 13:

  • Suppressing the truth by our wickedness

  • Knowing You and not glorifying You as God nor giving thanks to You

  • Operating in futile thinking and with foolish darkened depraved minds

  • Exchanging the glory of the immortal God for any idol

  • Sexual impurity, seduction, dishonorable passions and inflammation with lust

  • Degrading our bodies and the bodies of others

  • Greed, envy, strife, deceit, malice, gossip, slander, insolence, arrogance, boastfulness

  • A lack of understanding, fidelity, love or mercy

  • Disobeying or dishonoring any authority you've instituted

  • Approving of those who practice sin

1 Corinthians 6:

  • Theft, greed, drunkenness, revelry, and swindling

Galatians 5:

  • All works of the flesh that have been abominable to You including enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, rivalries, dissensions and divisions

  • Being unloving, not being peaceful, impatience, unkindness, not being good or faithful or gentle

1 Thessalonians 5:

  • Rendering evil for evil to anyone, and not pursuing what is good both for ourselves and for all

  • Not praying without ceasing

  • Quenching the Holy Spirit, despising prophecies, not testing all things or holding fast what is good

  • Not abstaining from every form of evil

2 Timothy 3:

  • Being lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, and having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power

1 Peter 1-3:

  • Not being holy in all that we do

  • Conforming to the evil desires we had when we lived in ignorance

  • Not submitting ourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority

  • Adorning ourselves wrongly and dressing immodestly

1 John 2:

  • The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, which come not from You but from the world

Revelation 2, 3 & 12:

  • Abandoning the love we once had for You

  • Being misled by false prophets

  • Being neither cold nor hot and having dead or lukewarm Christianity

  • Eating food sacrificed to idols and committing sexual immorality

  • Any work You ordained for us to do that we have not done

  • Any and all servitude, partnership or agreement we have rendered to the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan or any of his spiritual or human agents

Father, in Jesus' Name, we reason with You, so that though our sins are like scarlet, let us become as white as snow, though our sins are red like crimson, let us become like wool (Isaiah 1:18).

We turn away from and ask for Your forgiveness for all these sins. We renounce and denounce all evil acts we thought, committed or spoke against You via these sins. We break every covenant we knowingly or unknowingly came into with the kingdom of darkness via these sins.

Lord, You gave us the keys of the Kingdom of heaven, that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19 | 18:18). We therefore break any curse and bond of captivity that came upon us because of these sins, and we bind and cast out any evil spirit that came upon us through these sins.

Let us find grace in Your sight, O Lord, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance (Exodus 34:9).

We thank You Lord for Your forgiveness. Thank You for cleansing us from our sin and washing away our iniquity. Thank You for Your blood. Thank You for Your Grace and Mercy that we will never deserve.

In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ - Amen.
