YOUTUBE VIDEO OF PRAYER

Receive Holy Spirit Guidance

  • Let Your Holy Spirit help us to pray because Your Word says that we do not know how to pray as we ought but that the Holy Spirit helps in our weaknesses and makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26)

  • Let the Holy Spirit make intercession through and for us according to the will of God (Romans 8:27)

  • Let the Holy Spirit guide us into all the truth and declare to us the things that are to come (John 16:13)

  • Let the Holy Spirit baptize us fully as with the apostles, let tongues of Holy Spirit fire rest upon each of us and let us receive Your Holy Spirit power so that we are led by the Holy Spirit in everything pertaining to this life (Acts 1:5-8 & Acts 2:1-4)

Prayer for Forgiveness

We, our families and our ancestors have sinned and fallen short of Your Glory.

Help us to confess and forsake our sins, the sins of our families, the sins of our ancestors and the sins of all connected to us by blood, marriage or adoption.

Bring them all to our remembrance so we may all obtain Your mercy.

Let Your goodness lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4).

Let our hearts be broken and contrite for grieving the Holy Spirit (Psalm 51:17).

For You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Let us find grace in Your sight, O Lord. Go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people. Pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance (Exodus 34:9).

We refuse to bear the guilt of our fathers by doing what is lawful and right, and keeping all Your statutes and observing them that we will surely live (Ezekiel 18:19). Let the child no more share the guilt of the parent, and let not the wickedness of our fathers be upon us (Ezekiel 18:20). Help us to repent and turn away from all our transgressions so that iniquity will not be our ruin; help us to cast from us all transgressions which we have committed, to get ourselves a new heart and a new spirit (Ezekiel 18:30-31). Let none of our sins which we have committed be remembered against us; help us to do what is lawful and right, that we shall surely live (Ezekiel 33:16).

As we confess and repent for every sin below, or any other sin known and unknown, on behalf of ourselves, our ancestors and our bloodlines, we simultaneously renounce and denounce all evil acts we thought, committed or spoke against You via this sin, and we break every covenant we knowingly or unknowingly came into with the kingdom of darkness via these sins.

NB: To shorten the prayer, you can focus on either the old testament or new testament per prayer session.

  • The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, which come not from You but from the world

Revelation 2, 3 & 12:

  • Abandoning the love we once had for You

  • Being misled by false prophets

  • Being neither cold nor hot and having dead or lukewarm Christianity

  • Eating food sacrificed to idols and committing sexual immorality

  • Any work You ordained for us to do that we have not done

  • Any and all servitude, partnership or agreement we have rendered to the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan or any of his spiritual or human agents

Father, in Jesus' Name, we reason with You, so that though our sins are like scarlet, let us become as white as snow, though our sins are red like crimson, let us become like wool (Isaiah 1:18).

We turn away from and ask for Your forgiveness for all these sins. We renounce and denounce all evil acts we thought, committed or spoke against You via these sins. We break every covenant we knowingly or unknowingly came into with the kingdom of darkness via these sins.

Lord, You gave us the keys of the Kingdom of heaven, that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19 | 18:18). We therefore break any curse and bond of captivity that came upon us because of these sins, and we bind and cast out any evil spirit that came upon us through these sins.

Let us find grace in Your sight, O Lord. Go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people. Pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance (Exodus 34:9).

We thank You Lord for Your forgiveness. Thank You for cleansing us from our sin and washing away our iniquity. Thank You for Your blood. Thank You for Your Grace and Mercy that we will never deserve.

In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ - Amen.
