Receive Holy Spirit Guidance

  • Let Your Holy Spirit help us to pray because Your Word says that we do not know how to pray as we ought but that the Holy Spirit helps in our weaknesses and makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26)

  • Let the Holy Spirit make intercession through and for us according to the will of God (Romans 8:27)

  • Let the Holy Spirit guide us into all the truth and declare to us the things that are to come (John 16:13)

  • Let the Holy Spirit baptize us fully as with the apostles, let tongues of Holy Spirit fire rest upon each of us and let us receive Your Holy Spirit power so that we are led by the Holy Spirit in everything pertaining to this life (Acts 1:5-8 & Acts 2:1-4)

Adapted from Ezra 5

6 My God, we are too ashamed and hurt to turn to You, because we’re in our iniquities over our heads. Furthermore, my God, our sins have grown as high as the heavens.

We have lived in great sin from the days of our ancestors even until today, and because of those iniquities we, and our bloodlines were delivered over to the enemy, for execution, for captivity, for plunder, and for humiliation.

[...]

Even though we are slaves to sin, You have not abandoned us in our slavery. Instead, You have extended gracious love to us.

10 Now, our God, what can we say besides this? Because we have abandoned your commandments.

11 that you gave in the writings of all Your servants...

[...]

13 After all that has happened to us because of our evil behavior, and because of our great sin—considering that you our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve and have given us this deliverance...

[...]

15 Lord God of Israel, You are just: As a result, we remain here today delivered. Because of our sin, we cannot stand in Your presence as a result of everything that has happened.

We confess all our sin, and we ask for Your forgiveness.

Thank You Lord for hearing our prayers in the Name of Jesus Christ - Amen!
